Job summary

EON, Inc. is seeking part-time CSCs to support individuals with disabilities in New Ulm, MN. Earn $17.60 per hour as a non-exempt position and enjoy the benefits of an employee-owned organization.

This role offers flexible daytime hours with every other weekend availability, plus eligibility for PTO and ESOP benefits. Responsibilities include assisting individuals in independent living, documenting progress, and participating in assessments and meetings.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.
• Must not be disqualified by criminal background studies.
• Able to read and write in English.
• Able to document information electronically.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals who live in their own apartment, home or a family members home.
• Promote and teach independent living skills such as budgeting and community access.
• Assist with completing assessments, providing outcome recommendations, progress reports and meetings.
• Assist in orientation and supervision of new staff.

A CSC must understand the different needs of individuals with disabilities. As a CSC you must have the ability to exercise flexibility and assertiveness, have a positive work ethic, problem solve, and navigate c hallenging situations effectively. A CSC must also be able to work without direct supervision.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver’s license and pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.

• Meet the physical requirements as outlined in this position description and physical assessment form (pushing/pulling, lifting, bending, etc.).
• Able to read and write in English.
• Able to document information electronically.

Summary

The CSC provides care to individuals served in our community and must understand the different needs of individuals with disabilities. The individuals we serve are vulnerable adults and children in need of support in their daily activities.

The right person for this position would be eager to help in the following areas:

• Support individuals who live in their own apartment, home or a family members home.
• Promote and teach a variety of independent living skills. Examples include financial management i.e.: balancing checkbooks, accessing the community (grocery store, bank, restaurants, laundry mat, fitness center etc.).
• Assist with completing assessments, providing outcome recommendations, complete progress reports and attend/participate in individual served meetings.
• Assist in orientation and supervision of new staff.
