Located in Secane, PA, this part-time, flexible schedule role involves supporting an individual with Intellectual Disabilities in her apartment, assisting with daily activities, supporting her as a soon-to-be mother, and encouraging social engagement. As a Community Support Worker, you will act as an advocate, companion, and facilitator, helping with household management, ADLs, errands, appointments, and supporting self-advocacy and communication.
Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, at least 2 years of experience with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities or Autism, 1-2 years with behavioral or mental health diagnoses, and certification in American Sign Language. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively, including using technology like iPads, is required. A valid driver’s license is also necessary.
