Job summary

The Arc of Union County is seeking a dedicated Support Professional for Day Health Services to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role involves driving to activities, implementing behavioral plans, and offering mentoring within a person-centered framework.

Position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid NJ driver's license with a clean record, and passing background checks.

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Must be 21 years of age or older. Willing to learn or some familiarity, knowledge, or experience in Social Supports Services for Individuals with developmental disabilities.
Minimum of three years driving experience and a good driving record.
Must meet agency and insurance carrier insurance eligibility requirements.
Must have a current and valid New Jersey driver’s license with abstract (not exceeding 5 points), and ability to meet agency insurability requirements.
Complete State/Federal Criminal Background checks and Central Registry checks.

Responsibilities

Transport service recipients to and from program and to the community during outings in a 6-12 passenger vehicle.
Implements and facilitates behavioral/habilitation plans and provide support and mentoring for all service recipients through a person-centered approach.
The incumbent considers the unique characteristics and needs of the individual as expressed by the individual and others who know the person.
