Job summary

The Arc of Union County Inc. is seeking a Support Professional for Day Behavioral Health in Springfield, NJ. You will assist participants in group and individual activities, support daily living skills, and promote independence through person-centered approaches.

Responsibilities include transporting participants to activities in a 6-12 passenger vehicle, helping implement behavior plans, and collaborating with families and staff to ensure a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Willing to learn or some familiarity with Social Supports Services for individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Must have minimum 3 years driving experience and a good driving record.
• Must meet NJ insurance eligibility requirements and have valid NJ driver's license with abstract (≤5 points).
• Must pass State/Federal Criminal Background checks and Central Registry checks.

Responsibilities

• Engage service recipients in groups or communities and support participation in activities.
• Provide transport of service recipients to and from program and community outings in a 6-12 passenger vehicle.
• Implement and facilitate behavioral/habilitation plans and provide support through a person-centered approach.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and stimulating environment with adequate supervision.
• Collaborate with family, friends, and service providers to tailor services to individual needs.
