Job summary

The Arc of Union County Inc. is a leading provider of person-centered services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Support Professional position involves day habilitation programming, implementing behavioral plans, and transporting recipients to community activities in a 6-12 passenger van. You will work to foster skills in problem solving, self-help, social and daily living activities, while maintaining a safe, engaging environment and upholding person-centered

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and must be 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum of three years driving experience with a good driving record.
• Must meet insurance eligibility requirements and have NJ driver's license with clean abstract (≤5 points).
• Must complete State/Federal criminal background checks and Central Registry checks.

Responsibilities

• Engage service recipients in group or individual activities to support skill development.
• Provide transport to and from programs and community outings in a 6-12 passenger vehicle.
• Implement and facilitate behavioral/habilitation plans with a person-centered approach.
• Mentor and support recipients, ensuring inclusion in planning and decision-making.
