Job summary

Sunrise Community, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support professional to provide support and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them live valued lives in the community.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and basic computer skills, with a background check and drug screening as part of pre-employment. You will follow individualized plans, ensure safety, and document training and progress while promoting independence and choice in daily activities.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment background and drug screenings required.
• Valid driver's license with endorsements; minimum 3 years driving experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent if required by work location.
• Minimum one year experience in human service field if required by work location.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and reports suspected abuse or violations of an individual’s rights.
• Provides support, assistance and supervision to meet the needs and goals of individuals according to their plans.
• Ensures training, behavior and support programs are implemented and documented per regulatory requirements.
• Maintains health, safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
