Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Hawaii, Inc. seeks a Community Support Specialist in Honolulu to provide person-centered services under LASR, coordinating with providers and families to implement Individual Plans for participants.

Responsibilities include community-based instruction, progress reviews, and building networks of community resources to support long-term independence. Requires a degree and related experience, valid driver’s license, TB clearance, CPR/First Aid, and background checks.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree with 1 year related experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience including a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups.
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide; compute rate, ratio, and percent; interpret simple graphs.
• Must have valid driver's license, insured vehicle, TB clearance, CPR/First Aid certification, and clearance of criminal history and child/adult protective services checks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individual Plans with participants and support team within budget.
• Review plans quarterly to track progress and address barriers.
• Maintain confidential participant files and build community resource networks.
• Provide supports to participants in the community and facilitate activities and transportation as needed.
