Job summary

My Life My Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist residents in CILA homes with daily activities, personal care, and daily documentation. The DSP will support individual routines, prepare meals, and help maintain a clean home environment.

Starting wage is $19.05–$21.05 per hour, with a $1.00 raise after completing medication pass certification. A career training program is available, and applicants must be 21+, have a valid license, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license with less than 3 driving offenses.
• A criminal background check and physical is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supports in residents' homes, including personal care, meals, hygiene, and daily documentation.
• Assist residents with routines, activities, and transportation as needed.
• Support care plans and participate in the Direct Support Professional Career Training Program.

The individuals who reside at the CILAs are provided daily supports from a team of dedicated Direct Support Professionals; this may include personal care, cooking and assistance with meals, personal hygiene and grooming, cleaning inside their home, supporting each care plan and daily documentation. • FT evening shift: 3pm-11pm e/o weekend
• FT evening shift: Wed/Thur/Fri 2pm-9pm and Sat 5-11pm/Sun 3pm-9pm

Starting base pay $19.05-21.05 an hour

Additional $1.00 increase to base pay after completing medication pass certification.

REQUIREMENTS: Must be 21 years or older and have a valid driver's license with less than 3 driving offenses. A High School diploma or GED is required and must provide proof. A criminal background check and physical is required to meet requirements of the position. The background check includes the DCFS/CANTS check for abuse/neglect with children. You must also be able to complete and meet requirement of a reading and comprehension quiz which is completed at the interview.
