Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Columbia, Missouri is seeking a Community Support Specialist to provide community-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. You will perform assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions within a strengths-based framework.

You’ll collaborate with clients, families, and schools, coordinate care with providers, maintain accurate records, and participate in ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience delivering mental health or substance use services.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

  • Provide community-based mental health services to clients including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention.
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and stakeholders to develop individualized plans.
  • Utilize Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based approaches.
  • Provide behavioral interventions and coordinate care with other providers.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
  • Participate in staff training and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Work with team for coordinated client care.
  • Develop relationships with involved stakeholders.
  • Prepare for and facilitate group therapy sessions.
  • Knowledge of ACT model for some roles.
