Job summary

The Josselyn Center NFP in Grayslake, IL is seeking a full-time CSS educator to provide skill-based education and intake support for youth and families. You will use Camp Neeka/SEL curricula to assist clients and coordinate services across youth programming and IOP when needed.

Responsibilities include intake support, scheduling with families and schools, and documenting progress. The role may involve occasional work with adult clients and summer programs at Camp Neeka locations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with children, families or schools.
• Knowledge of Camp Neeka, SEL and IOP programs preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-quality service with 50% direct service hours per month.
• Provide skill-based education for clients within the community or virtually.
• Coordinate scheduling with client families and school hours/schedules.
• Complete Service Ticket/Progress Note within three working days of day of service.
• Under direction of therapist and client treatment, provide skill education print outs within three business days of notes and recommendations.
• Timely completion of client onboarding after initial evaluation (telehealth education, client portal support, schedule follow up appointments).
• Work collaboratively with the MHE team and Josselyn CSS team to ensure productivity and meet client requests cross departmentally.

Job Summary

Provide skill-based education and coaching to youth/family clients at Josselyn. CSS will utilize Camp Neeka/SEL curriculum and skill activities to provide targeted support for clients. Clients will be referred to CSS from Josselyn’s youth programming, including but not limited to, Camp Neeka, SEL programming and IOP. Part of this role is supporting youth programming with intake and assessments needs,; this includes supporting camp Neeka assessments. Due to the nature of the work and possible scheduling barriers, CSS may need to support other Josselyn intake/assessment needs and other Josselyn CSS requests- possibly including adult clients- to reach productivity expectations. CSS will prepare skill-based programming during non-direct hours. Over the summer CSS will be providing services at Josselyn’s Camp Neeka locations.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5 PM or 12 PM - 8 PM

Compensation

$24.73 - $27.47 hourly for a 35 hour work week,determined based on experience

Essential Responsibilities and Metrics

• Work collaboratively with the MHE team and Josselyn CSS team to ensure productivity and client requests are being met cross departmentally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services.
• 2+ years of experience working with children, family or schools.
• Knowledge and/or experience in Josselyn’s current youth programming, Camp Neeka, SEL Consultants and IOP
• Competency in Microsoft Office365 applications including: Word, Excel, Outlook and Zoom
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and efficient in managing several cases at once
• Three professional references that reflect ability to perform clinical and school-based work.
