Job summary

Easterseals Delaware is seeking a motivated Community Support Specialist to provide community-based support to adults with intellectual disabilities, helping them develop work and life skills, including communication and daily routines.

You will build relationships with clients, monitor progress, and celebrate milestones as individuals gain independence and confidence in everyday activities. The role offers daylight hours, a starting wage of $18.00 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have compassion for others and the desire to support adults with disabilities.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities in a community setting.
• Must be able to work 40 hours/weekly M-F (daytime).
• Must be at least 21-years of age to drive company vehicles.
• Driving record in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and guidance in the community to adult individuals with intellectual disabilities as they learn work and life skills.

This is a 40-hour a week position Monday-Friday daytime hours. The starting compensation is $18.00 an hour.
