Apalachee Center, Inc. in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking a FACT Substance Abuse Specialist to join the Florida Assertive Community Treatment team.

The role focuses on delivering intensive community-based support to individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance issues, using cross-training to enhance team skills and crisis intervention when needed. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, providing services in office and community settings, with responsibilities for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related human services field.
• Master’s degree preferred in the same fields.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and track client progress.
• Schedule and participate in ITT meetings and review treatment plans.
• Deliver substance abuse services, including individual and group sessions in office and community settings.
• Provide case management, referrals, and CSP updates to support client independence.
