Job summary

Access Management Group seeks a hands-on Sports Director to lead sports, recreation, and fitness operations for the community. You will oversee tennis, pickleball, bocce, lawn bowling, cornhole, and the fitness club, directing a team of 5–8 staff and ensuring high-quality programs and resident satisfaction.

You will collaborate with department leaders to coordinate events, manage budgets, and uphold safety standards while fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment for residents and members.

Qualifications

• Experience in sports, recreation, fitness operations or club management.
• Experience supervising employees and coordinating day-to-day operations.
• Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience coordinating recreational programs, leagues, events.
• Ability to manage multiple amenities and competing priorities.
• Basic budgeting and financial oversight skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all sports and recreation amenities.
• Maintain facilities, equipment, and spaces for safety and readiness.
• Develop and oversee sports programming, leagues, tournaments, and events.
• Monitor participation and feedback to improve engagement.
• Set operating procedures, schedules, and service standards.
• Promote inclusivity and community engagement across amenities.
• Supervise a team of 5–8 employees and manage staffing.
• Coach and develop staff; provide ongoing feedback and accountability.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment and resolve issues promptly.
