Young Mens Christian Association Of Wichita Falls seeks a Gym / Field Supervisor for the YMCA Downtown Branch in Wichita Falls, TX. This seasonal, part-time role supports programs like basketball, baseball, indoor soccer and volleyball, with evenings and weekend hours, ensures safety, and opens/closes the site as needed.

The role requires safeguarding participants, enforcing rules, and following YMCA policies.

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years old.
One year or more of related experience preferred.
High degree of human relations and conflict management skills to tactfully enforce all rules.
Move, set up, store and move equipment weighing up to fifty pounds.
Respond to safety and emergency situations and maintain/report incident forms.
CPR/AED & First Aid certification required within 60 days of hire.
Pass the criminal background check.

Responsibilities

Supervises activities at site(s) and surrounding areas to ensure safety and welfare of users.
Reports and monitors all equipment problems.
Sets up equipment and returns equipment to storage.
Ensures cleanliness and safety of facilities and equipment.
May clean restrooms, remove trash, sweep and keep facilities/fields organized.
Enforces all rules and policies and reports incidents.
Responds to inquiries from participants and provides information.
Attends meetings and approved training as required.
May open/close a facility and work at multiple locations as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by the manager.
