Job summary

The City of Greer is seeking an Athletic Coordinator to manage youth and limited adult athletic programs, scheduling practices and games, and coordinating with the Athletic Supervisor of Parks, Recreation & Tourism. This role involves recruiting and supervising volunteer coaches, managing facilities, and coordinating special events.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Recreation or related field, at least 1 year in Parks and Recreation, and a valid driver’s license.

• Experience with conflict resolution and public interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead athletic programs for all ages; recruit and supervise volunteer coaches.
• Oversee staff scheduling, coaching quality, and performance appraisals.
• Supervise daily operations in Athletics when supervisor is unavailable.
• Supervise volunteers and officials for sports programs.
• Manage sports budgets and assist purchasing equipment and supplies.
