Job summary

The Salvation Army in Ivanhoe, AL seeks a Community Services Assistant to prepare and process vouchers for eligible clients, stock pantry items, and assist with rent and utility assistance. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years experience in a social or public service environment.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, completes, and processes vouchers for food, clothing, and furniture.
• Provides clients with food from pantry; receives and stocks donated items; maintains inventory.
• Processes rent and utility financial assistance; contacts utility organizations and landlords.
• Answers telephone courteously; provides information regarding Social Service Program operations.
• Performs related work for special and seasonal projects; other duties as required.
