Purpose: Under the direction of a QMHP, a CSSP provides training to the client and natural supports addressing serious emotional disturbances and symptom-related problems that interfere with the client’s functioning. The role includes facilitating community integration, skill development, and treatment planning to promote resiliency.

Qualifications: CSSP

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency
  • Three continuous years of documented full-time experience in MH rehabilitative services
  • Demonstrated competency in providing and documenting MHTCM and MH rehabilitative services

General Responsibilities: The worker is responsible for providing medically necessary services in accordance with the treatment plan to meet the client’s mental health, educational, vocational, residential, financial, social, and other needs.

  • Serve as an integral member of the LES team to ensure continuity of care, supporting services 24/7 as necessary
  • Provide structured face-to-face sessions based on treatment plans
  • Deliver services in home, school, office, and community settings
  • Prioritize community-based mental health services while limiting clinic-based services
  • Complete documentation within 72 hours of service or contact
  • Report to supervision and attend scheduled in-house trainings
  • Collaborate with and update the clinical team, including psychiatrists, as needed
  • Identify and collaborate with community agencies, providers, and natural supports; make referrals as needed
  • Interact with clients, co-workers, management, and professionals in a non-judgmental manner
  • Communicate objectively, thoroughly, and concisely, appropriate to the cognitive level of involved persons
  • Support the organizational mission and provide quality services
  • Participate in efforts to improve service provision
  • Build team cohesiveness and support a positive agency image
  • Maintain professional work ethics, including dependability and timeliness
  • Ensure all licenses and certifications are current
  • Perform other duties as assigned
