The Salvation Army Southwest Division Prescott Corps is seeking a Social Service Coordinator to manage day-to-day operations for food, rental and outreach programs in Prescott, AZ.

Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work, demonstrates crisis intervention skills, and can coordinate volunteers, reports, and client services while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and guidelines.

Qualifications

• BS degree in social work or related field required.
• Years of experience in a social service capacity may substitute for education in a 2:1 ratio.
• Knowledge of local community resources.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude & an ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds & circumstances.
• Able to maintain a non-judgmental demeanor and professional boundaries with clients.
• Crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills for serving homeless & working poor.
• Maximize services within budgetary constraints.
• Proficiency in Salvation Army social service programs and Link 2 Feed coordination.
• Ability to work in a diverse team.
• Office software proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher).
• Type at least 50 wpm and hold a valid Arizona driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation of Salvation Army Social Service programs (Food Bank, Utility/Rental Assistance, Sally’s Closet).
• Record keeping, reporting, and monitoring program costs.
• Volunteer coordination and training; statistics recording.
• Case management and client intake; Well Sky database usage.
• Collaborate with partners and secure outside vendors for client services.
• Seasonal coordination (Thanksgiving/Christmas) and local grant work.
• Develop and propose new programs; expand services with divisional support.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable rules and guidelines.
