Job summary

Center for Disability Services, Inc. in Albany, NY is seeking a Community Service Professional to support individuals with developmental disabilities in private homes and in the Capital District community.

The role offers a flexible, part-time schedule to accommodate education, childcare, or other commitments. You will help people engage in activities, learn daily living skills, and pursue greater independence while ensuring safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to people with developmental disabilities in homes and the community.
• Engage in recreational and community activities such as shopping, exercise groups, and outings.
• Provide learning opportunities to support independence and skill development.
• Support people with different abilities to learn and practice daily living skills.
