Job summary

The Northeast Bronx YMCA seeks a Community School Director to implement, coordinate, and align the community school strategy at P.S. 111, ensuring compliance with school, Department of Health, YMCA of Greater New York, and funder standards.

Working with the principal and leadership team, you will plan, organize, and provide structured programming and services for students and families, while maintaining strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a program related to working with youth.
• Minimum of two years of experience managing high-volume youth programming and supervising staff.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Job description

The Northeast Bronx YMCA is seeking a Community School Director who will be responsible for the implementation, integration, alignment, and coordination of the community school strategy at P.S. 111. They will ensure that the Community School program meets all school, Department of Health, YMCA of Greater New York, and funder standards, expectations, and regulations. Working collaboratively with the principal and school leadership team, the Community School Director will provide oversight to the strategy, systems, supervision, and structure of the program. They will plan, organize, and implement structured programming and services for both students and families. The Community School Director will ensure a high level of quality, communication, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
