Job summary

The City of Concord's Police Department is seeking a Customer-Service oriented Community Service Officer to support daily operations, answer public inquiries, and assist sworn officers by handling non-enforcement tasks.

You will rotate through the Community Service Desk, Administration, Property, and Traffic/Parking Enforcement, performing data entry, classifying complaints, and maintaining records while upholding the City's Mission and Values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related work experience with public contact.
• California Driver's License with satisfactory driving record.
• Background check and POST course desirable.

Responsibilities

• Answer multiple telephone lines and respond to a wide variety of questions from the public in person and over the telephone.
• Receive, classify and archive various complaints from the public.
• Monitor departmental security by television cameras and release towed or stored vehicles as appropriate.
• Maintain logs and input data into police systems and records.
• Assist with administration, property, and traffic/parking enforcement activities.
