Job summary

The City of Unalakleet seeks a Police Officer to perform routine patrols of the community, protect people and property, and respond to emergency calls. You will prepare documents and write case reports, incidents and investigations, and operate computer systems while maintaining confidentiality.

You'll assist other departments as needed and share information to update your supervisor. Training with the Alaska Police Standards Council is required within six months, or on available dates if not

Responsibilities

• Performs routine patrols of the community to protect people and property.
• Responds to emergency calls.
• Prepares documents and writes case reports, incidents and investigations.
• Operates computer as needed.
• Ensures professional confidentiality.
• Assists other departments and agencies (Fire Dept, Municipal Depts & Law Enforcement) as appropriate.
• Shares current information to update supervisor.
• Attends Alaska Police Standards Council training within 6 months, or on training dates, if not certified.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
