Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; must be 21+ and have a clear criminal record.
• Background investigation, medical, psychological, oral board and final interview required.
• College course credits towards a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business or Public Administration are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the district to deter crime, respond to requests for assistance and enforce safety protocols.
• Enforce local, state and federal laws and coordinate with other agencies as needed.
• Investigate crimes and accidents; secure scenes and collect evidence.
• Arrest violators; transport and process suspects, victims and prisoners.
• Complete detailed reports and maintain department records.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment per department standards.
• Represent the District Police in court hearings and testify when required.
• Provide education programs to the community and collaborate with emergency services.
