Casa de las Campanas in Rancho Bernardo, CA, seeks a Community Safety Officer to provide emergency medical responses and uphold resident safety across campus.

You will patrol, monitor residents' welfare, respond to emergencies, escort staff and residents, and assist with safety-related tasks, including on-site maintenance needs, with flexible shifts and differential pay.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as Safety Officer or EMT preferred.
• Current CA driver's license required.
• Ability to work holidays and weekends.

Job Summary:

The Community Safety Officer provides emergency medical responses to residents and staff and initiates appropriate action. Responsible for the general safety of residents, staff, guests, buildings, grounds, minor emergency maintenance functions, and other required duties.

Essential Job Duties

• Patrols interior and exterior of buildings and grounds
• Monitors the welfare of residents by performing daily status check procedures
• Appropriately and accurately records daily Safety logs
• Responds to all emergency calls, i.e., medical, fire, life-safety, and security
• Responds to minor maintenance calls in the absence of on-duty maintenance personnel. Immediately contacts physical plant staff for life-safety equipment malfunction repair
• Escorts residents and staff as needed. Provides other personal services, i.e.: delivering medications, packages, newspapers, flowers, etc., and other duties as assigned
• Monitors and controls parking on property
• Monitors and controls access to Casa buildings by residents, staff, and visitors
• Transports staff to off-site employee parking, as needed

Pay Rate:

Starting at $21.75

Shift:

Multiple Open

Additional pay differentials of $1.25 per hour for the PM shift, $1.50 per hour for the NOC shift, and $3.00 per hour for weekend shifts
