Job summary

The YMCA of Greater San Francisco is hiring a Service Connector to engage families and connect them to resources for housing stability and self-sufficiency. The role is based off-site at Huntersview and Sunnydale housing sites in San Francisco.

You will work with residents, collect data, manage caseloads, and coordinate program outcomes. Role requires strong communication, ability to travel between sites, and commitment to HOPE SF goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Availability Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, with occasional evenings and weekends.
• Reliable transportation to travel to program activity sites.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and basic data entry.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build positive relationships.
• Comfortable using social media.
• Ability to collect and organize data for reporting.
• Understanding of the HOPE SF initiative’s goals and the needs of low- to moderate-income residents.

Responsibilities

• Handle volatile situations using conflict resolution and de-escalation skills to ensure personal safety.
• Intake and assessment: manage an active caseload of up to 35 families and develop plans to address barriers to success.
• Data management and reporting: maintain program records and contribute to outcome evaluation using tracking logs.
