Job summary

The City of Avondale seeks a Neighborhood and Family Services Specialist to support front desk operations at the Resource Center, connect residents with services, and coordinate program referrals with partners.

You will work evenings or weekends as needed, help prepare reports, manage room bookings, and assist with food distribution and CAP tasks, all while applying trauma-informed care practices to improve community well-being.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Two years of human services experience or related field.
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License by time of hire.
• Arizona DPS Level 1 Background Check within 30 days of hire.
• Background check and periodic physicals required.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide front desk support and daily operations at the Arizona Complete Health Avondale Resource Center.
• Determine resources for clients and provide referrals to community-based services.
• Coordinate outreach activities and partner with Family Services and other City departments.
• Assist with room reservations, events, and transportation-related support.
