Job summary

Vancouver Housing Authority (VHA) seeks a Service Coordinator 1 to help residents access essential community resources. You will assess needs, determine eligibility, and connect clients with public and private services, working closely with local partners in Clark County.

The role emphasizes serving diverse populations, maintaining records, and ensuring program compliance, with full-time, in-person work and a comprehensive benefits package including health, disability coverage, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• BA in Social Service or related field preferred.
• At least two years of direct service experience.
• Experience with aging, family services and disability services.
• Experience determining eligibility for Federal and applicable State programs.
• Knowledge of legal liability issues in service coordination and mandated reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents' needs and connect them to public and private services.
• Build relationships with community providers to expand available resources.
• Educate residents about their rights and available support programs.
• Track service progress, maintain records, and ensure compliance with program requirements.
• Help residents build support networks and navigate daily challenges.
