Community Action of Washington County in Oregon seeks a Community Resource Advocate II for in-person work at Community Connect to help neighbors access housing, support services, and resources.

You will conduct assessments, determine eligibility, make direct referrals to county programs, enter client data accurately, and support clients from intake to linkage, all guided by Housing First principles and trauma-informed practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 6+ months customer service experience or lived experience.
• Experience with data entry.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of professionals and social service agencies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• A commitment to equity, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed practices.

Responsabilités

• Deliver in-person services to participants at Community Connect.
• Conduct face-to-face and telephonic assessments for homeless or at-risk households.
• Participate in a rotation of duties, including managing walk-ins.
• Engage in street outreach to build relationships with unsheltered individuals.
• Determine eligibility and make direct referrals to housing programs.
• Enter client information into the database accurately.
• Explain and encourage use of services for basic needs, health, and housing.
• Maintain a clean, confidential, and efficient workspace.
