Position Overview

Osner’s FC is seeking an enthusiastic and community-focused Community Relations Manager to enhance connections between the club and the diverse communities we represent. This role is integral to promoting inclusiveness,fostering meaningful engagement, and building strong relationships with individuals and organizations in our local area. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for community outreach, and the ability to connect with people from various backgrounds. Multilingual abilities are strongly preferred to better engage with our multicultural community. The Community Relations Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the club remains a positive and accessible resource for the community, supporting events,initiatives, and outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, businesses, and local leaders to promote collaboration and inclusivity.
  • Event Coordination: Organize and participate in community-focused events, including workshops, soccer clinics, and cultural celebrations, to encourage participation and engagement.
  • Outreach Campaigns: Implement targeted outreach strategies to increase awareness and support for the club’s initiatives and events.
  • Advocacy and Representation: Represent the club at community meetings, events, and forums, acting as the voice and face of Osner’s FC to strengthen connections with the community.
  • Inclusivity Promotion: Work on initiatives that encourage diversity, equity, and inclusion within the club’s operations and community interactions.
  • Feedback Collection: Gather input and feedback from the community to identify needs and opportunities for the club to better serve its audience.
  • Communication Support: Create and distribute accessible materials and announcements to keep the community informed of events, programs, and opportunities.
  • Translation and Accessibility: Assist in translating promotional materials and communications to ensure accessibility for non-English-speaking community members.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, such as marketing and operations, to align community engagement efforts with club goals.
Requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to connect and build trust with diverse groups.
  • Previous experience in community relations, outreach, or a similar role.
  • Self-motivated and organized, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events or meetings.
  • Proficiency with social media, event planning, and basic office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Suite).
  • Multilingual abilities (especially Spanish, French, or other widely spoken languages in the community) are strongly preferred.
  • Passion for community building and inclusivity, with an interest in soccer as a unifying force.
Credentials
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Community Development, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 2 years of experience in a community engagement, advocacy, or public relations role is highly desirable.
Hourly Wage
  • Entry-Level: $23–$25/hour (1–3 years of experience).
  • Mid-Level: $25–$35/hour (3–6 years of experience).
  • Experienced Professionals: $35–$45/hour (6+ years of experience or specialized community relations expertise).
