Job summary

Trustwell Living, LLC seeks a Community Relations Director to drive occupancy and revenue for its assisted living communities. You will lead marketing, outreach, and referral networks, coordinate with the Executive Director, and implement selling plans.

You will train staff, develop events, and manage budgets to achieve annual targets while maintaining relationships with referral sources and the local community.

Qualifications

  • Requires a high school diploma; a college degree in marketing or equivalent sales experience preferred.
  • Successful experience in marketing/selling/closing sales of assisted living or similar housing community-based care.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing: develop and implement plans to market and sell for assigned communities.
  • Supports the Executive Director to achieve occupancy, move-in, and revenue targets.
  • Acts as liaison between community resources and the Executive Director.
  • Assist in formulating annual marketing/selling plan and budget; maintain the projected budget.
  • Develop and implement calendars and activities for the community.
  • Collaborate on community-based events with leadership team to raise awareness.
  • Generate inquiries/move-ins via outside events, groups, and referrals.
  • Maintain annual market competitive analysis.
  • Sales: respond promptly to inquiries from referral sources; be single point of contact for referrals.
  • Close sales by guiding prospects and their families through decision-making and education about services.
  • Develop and maintain weekly leads from residents, families, and professionals.
  • Use sales processes and reports to track data and achieve occupancy goals.
  • Monitor progress of Sales Plan for assigned communities.
  • Training: coach ED and backup team in marketing/selling/closing; conduct trainings.
  • Coordinate with ED and SVP Marketing to address marketing/closing needs.
  • Collaborate with management/ownership to execute marketing plans.

POSITION TITLE: COMMUNITY RELATIONS DIRECTOR
Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing on-site sales support to increase occupancy to budgeted levels. Sales support includes conducting a SWOT Analysis, Preparing an Annual Competitive Analysis, Performing Community Outreach, Creating Referral Networks, contacting prospects, and closing sales.

REPORTS TO: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Position Responsibilities
  • Marketing
  • Supports the Executive Director to achieve the community's occupancy, move-in, and revenue targets.
  • Acts as a liaison between community resources and the Executive Director.
  • Assists the Executive Director in formulating the annual marketing/selling plan and budget. Responsible for maintaining the projected budget.
  • Develop and implement plans to market and sell for assigned communities.
  • In cooperation with the Executive Director, develops and implements marketing and selling plans, calendars, and activities for the community.
  • Collaborates, develops and implements community-based special events and activities with the leadership team.
  • Develop inquiries and move-ins through increased awareness and participation in outside events, professional groups, and community involvement in the local market.

  • Respond promptly to every internet, telephone call, or in-person inquiry from all referral sources, prospective residents, and families. Responsible for being the single point of contact for referral agencies.
  • Close sales by assisting prospective residents, their family members, and/or advisors in the decision-making process by understanding their needs and educating them about services and programs that can meet their needs.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with and generates leads weekly through resident, family, and professional referral sources.
  • Utilize sales processes, systems, and forms for external and internal sales to perform job duties, track information, compile data and reports, and achieve desired community occupancy goals.
  • Monitors progress of Sales Plan implementation of assigned communities
  • Training
  • Trains and coaches the Executive Director and backup team in marketing skills, strategies, and techniques, with a primary focus on sales and closing skills.
  • Conduct community/cluster/team training sessions on marketing and selling techniques.
  • Utilizes available selling and marketing resources for teaching, coaching, and training.
  • Coordination
  • Works with the Executive Director and Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales to understand their communities' marketing/selling/closing needs.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director, management, and ownership to develop and execute marketing plans.

  • Ability to maintain accurate records and provide information as requested/required.
Training And Experience

Successful experience in marketing/selling/closing sales of assisted living, housing community-based care, health care, etc.

Education

A high school diploma is required, and a college degree with a concentration in marketing or equivalent sales experience is preferred. The candidate must maintain CPR/First Aid certification. The candidate must also attend mandatory in-service training and meet continuing education requirements for the job classification and position.
