  • Provides updates and community presentations about the center’s mission and services.
  • Acts as liaison between the center and community organizations.
  • Coordinates meetings and conference calls with agendas and minutes.
  • Maintains records of individual and community contacts.
  • Generates reports and tracks project-related expenses.
  • Works as part of an integrated multidisciplinary team.
  • Adheres to Center policies and procedures.
  • Utilizes office equipment and software according to procedure.

Job description

This position is responsible for providing outreach to community partners and general patient, staff and community awareness activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education

High school diploma and Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or other human services preferred. Public speaking and/or community outreach experience preferred. Cultural competence in working with diverse populations required.

Experience

Experience in education, marketing, or health or human services setting.

Essential Functions
  1. Report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working. Remain at work for their entire work schedule.
  2. Implements and supports key leaders’ community partnership activities and strategies consistent with the agency’s goals and objectives.
  3. Implements marketing activities, including press releases, social media and PowerPoint presentations in waiting room informing the community and patients about the agency’s mission and services.
  4. Implements fundraising strategies including oversight of donor recognition.
  5. Updates and community presentations including educating consumers on center’s mission and services.
  6. Serves as services liaison between center and community organizations.
  7. Coordinates meetings and conference calls, including set up, agendas, and minutes.
  8. Maintains accurate records of individual and community contacts.
  9. Word processes and generates reports and maintains accurate records of contacts and project-related expenses.
  10. Works as an integrated multidisciplinary team member.
  11. Complies with Center’s policies and procedures.
  12. Utilizes personal computer and specialized office equipment according to procedure.
  13. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Understanding and commitment to the uninsured population and the goals and mission of the Interior Community Health Center.

Demonstrated ability to work with multi-aged and multicultural populations.

Ability to work flexible hours and walk and drive in inclement weather.

Must have access to automobile and meet agency auto use requirements.

Technically proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Thorough knowledge of common office equipment (copier, fax, printer, etc.).

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as a team member.
