Job summary

The Jewish Federation of Greater Ann Arbor is seeking a Community Relations Manager to join a dynamic team. This full-time, in-person role includes remote options on Wednesdays and Fridays, with office presence on Mon/Tue/Thu.

You will lead efforts to address antisemitism, boost civic engagement, and collaborate with local schools, universities, and interfaith groups. Reporting to the Community Relations Director, you will develop educational programs, crisis-response resources, and community

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required; master's degree in social work, public policy, Jewish studies or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in community outreach, public policy, government affairs or Israel advocacy.
  • Significant knowledge of the Jewish community and passion for Jewish/Israel-related issues.
  • Familiarity with Washtenaw County non-profit, political, faith and civic landscape is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter, creative thinker and team player with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Availability for meetings/events in evenings and Sundays; reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Educate both Jewish and broader communities to combat antisemitism.
  • Support antisemitism crisis management and prevention efforts.
  • Serve as a resource for families, schools and organizations after antisemitism incidents.
  • Build relationships with local government officials to promote civic engagement.
  • Collaborate with local Hillels, university leadership and school districts on inclusion and educational initiatives.
  • Coordinate JCRC meetings and programs and support federation events.
