Job summary

Dismas Charities Inc seeks a dedicated professional to develop and coordinate its employment assistance program for program residents. You'll assess needs, coordinate prep strategies, and verify employment to help residents obtain and maintain gainful work.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, collaborating with community resources, and attending staff meetings to support successful job placements and ongoing resident progress.

Qualifications

• One year of academic studies at an accredited college or university.
• Experience in job development and knowledge of the local area, area employers, and community resources.
• PC work experience with Windows operating system.
• Microsoft Office Suite with Word and Excel.
• Good typing, spelling, grammar, organizational and phone skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and enhance the facility's employment assistance program.
• Assess residents' employment status, needs, aptitudes and resources.
• Coordinate and implement job preparation strategies, including counseling and referrals.
• Verify resident employment on-site and by phone.
• Maintain client records, reports, statistics and schedules.
• Maintain FreshStart Case Management System records.
• Attend meetings and develop local private/public agency resources.
