Job summary

The City of Decatur is seeking a part-time Recreation Specialist - Centers to support and implement recreational activities across city centers. You will supervise participants, assist with program setup, and coordinate with instructors and staff to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include registering participants, handling payments, answering inquiries, and maintaining accurate records while providing excellent customer service in a dynamic community setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic office procedures and computer skills.
• Clear written and oral communication; ability to work with the public.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to obtain valid Georgia driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Develops, promotes, and organizes programming for all ages.
• Recruits community members for programs, classes, events.
• Responds to inquiries and complaints; directs to appropriate staff.
• Supervises facility and performs light janitorial duties as needed.
• Registers participants and processes payments; maintains rosters.
