Job summary

The City of Coronado is seeking a Recreation Leader to support front desk operations, lead programs, and assist with facility rentals across multiple divisions. Roles include customer service, program setup, and daily center maintenance; schedule is varied and may be seasonal or temporary with flexible hours.

The position requires at least two years’ experience in recreation, a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant certifications (First Aid/CPR).

Qualifications

• At least two years of responsible experience in recreation programs.
• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade with related training in recreation.
• CDL with passenger endorsement is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead a variety of recreational activities involved in implementing programs.
• Supervise and monitor participants; enforce rules and safety.
• Assist with marketing materials, schedules, and newsletters.
• Maintain records and prepare reports on program effectiveness.
• Set up, take down, and oversee events and rental spaces.
• Drive trips for participants to local sites when needed.
