Job summary

City of Villa Rica Recreation seeks a dedicated Recreation Programmer to coordinate, develop, and lead a diverse range of programs, activities, events, and services for all ages.

You will promote inclusive, family-friendly experiences, ensure safety, supervise volunteers and staff, and collaborate with the department to plan and execute events. Minimum qualifications include High School diploma, First Aid/CPR, a Georgia driver's license, and 3–4 years of recreation experience.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; First Aid and CPR certification; valid Georgia driver's license.
  • Prefer 3–4 years of experience in a camp or recreation environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees participants and volunteers in recreation programs, activities, and facilities.
  • Coordinates department events and activities that are inviting, inclusive, engaging, and fulfilling.
  • Assists with planning, setup, coordination, execution, and breakdown of department events, including events for which not the lead.
  • Provides support to other department staff during events and programs to ensure successful operations.
  • Accompanies participant groups during special events, field trips, and program outings.
  • Maintains accurate records and documentation related to assigned activities and programs.
