Job summary

Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa's Community Centers – Recreation division is seeking a full-time, onsite staff member to plan and implement activities for the community center. You will assist with recreational, social and cultural activities, monitor events, and enforce rules to ensure safety and enjoyment.

The role includes supervising gym and library areas, reporting incidents, providing first aid, helping with food preparation, and performing light janitorial duties.

Qualifications

• Preferred high school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR and first aid certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.
• Ability to obtain food handlers certification within 6 months.
• Secretarial or office experience is desired.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities required.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently are essential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities and outings for the Community Center as directed.
• Assist recreational, social and cultural activities; supervise outings outside the workplace as assigned.
• Enforce rules; eject unruly participants as necessary; referee organized events when required.
• Report incidents to the on-site Manager and complete required forms.
• Keep facilities clean; perform light janitorial duties; perform minor repairs or report needs.
• Provide first aid; assist in food preparation for outings and events as directed.
• Handle office duties and respond professionally to requests and complaints.
• Maintain professional conduct as a representative of the Fond du Lac Band.
