Job summary

The City of Luling is seeking a Recreation Coordinator to plan, implement, and evaluate community recreation programs and events under the Parks and Recreation Director. This full-time role focuses on sports, programs, and city events across the community.

The position requires at least a high school diploma, a Texas driver's license, 2+ years of experience in recreational programming or parks management, and strong communication skills. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of a valid Texas Driver's License.
• 2+ years of experience in recreational programming or parks management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Must be able to successfully complete any required background check, drug screening, and other pre-employment requirements established by the City.

Responsibilities

• Plans and organizes various types of programs and events including activities, programs, sports, events, and classes.
• Coordinates and performs marketing tasks for the City's recreation programs and special events.
• Develops and administers program/event budgets.
• Provides customer service and assistance to the public.
