Job summary

Via is seeking a Recovery Practitioner to deliver substance misuse treatment and recovery support across Cheshire West & Chester. This community-based role requires daily travel to rural communities, service hubs, satellite locations, and clients' homes.

You will conduct assessments, home visits, and outreach while managing a caseload and providing harm reduction, psychosocial support, and overdose prevention.

Qualifications

• Experience in substance misuse services preferred
• Safeguarding knowledge and confidence in identifying and responding to risk
• Excellent listening skills, empathy, and patience in client interactions

Responsibilities

• Deliver harm reduction advice and psychosocial interventions.
• Provide overdose prevention guidance and support.
• Undertake assessments, home visits, and outreach across Cheshire West & Chester.
• Manage a caseload and ensure timely, effective support for service users.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and safeguarding principles.
