Job Description
The Community Manager leads a dedicated team of resident services personnel, ensuring the needs of the community are met efficiently and effectively. This role involves overseeing property management tasks, financial transactions, staff training, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all residents.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Team Leadership: Manage and inspire resident services personnel to create a supportive community environment and effectively address resident needs.
- Financial Management: Collect, deposit, and accurately record all rental payments, security deposits, and transaction/application fees, ensuring financial integrity and compliance.
- Task Management: Ensure timely completion of community requests and tasks, prioritizing resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Application Processing: Process leasing applications and reconcile tenant accounts, maintaining clear communication with applicants regarding their status.
- Budget Oversight: Develop and maintain the community budget, carefully monitoring expenses and revenue to ensure financial health and sustainability.
- Property Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of property and grounds to uphold safety, cleanliness, and aesthetic standards, addressing any maintenance issues proactively.
- Maintenance Coordination: Schedule and coordinate maintenance requests promptly, ensuring that resident concerns are resolved quickly and effectively.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate complaints, disturbances, and violations with a focus on resolving conflicts and maintaining a peaceful community atmosphere.
- Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate community events to foster resident engagement and enhance the sense of community.
- Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION | EXPERIENCE
- Lease-Up experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or a related field and/or experience demonstrating proficiency in the essential functions of the role.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in property management or community services, with supervisory experience.
- Certification in property management (e.g., CAM, CPM) is a plus.

- Strong understanding of property management practices, leasing processes, and local housing laws.
- Proficient in budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting, with a track record of managing successful budgets.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills for effective resident and staff interactions.
- Strong analytical and conflict resolution skills to address issues promptly and maintain community harmony.
- Meticulous in maintaining property standards and accurate documentation.
- Committed to prioritizing resident needs and enhancing the overall community living experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work will be conducted in both a controlled office environment and outdoor settings, requiring effective communication and a professional demeanor.
- The position requires flexibility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere, navigate various weather conditions during inspections and events, and adhere to safety protocols.
- Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of this role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to sit, use computers, and handle office equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for events.
- Regular movement around the property for inspections and resident engagement.
- Adherence to safety protocols indoors and outdoors.
