Job summary

Wind River Visitors Council (WRVC) is the official destination marketing organization for Wind River Country, encompassing Fremont County and the Wind River Indian Reservation. Established in 1989, WRVC increases awareness of the region's destinations, outdoor recreation, events and culture while supporting destination stewardship and tourism asset development.

The Programs and Community Engagement Coordinator will provide administrative and programmatic support for tourism development efforts,

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with partners and team members.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with grant administration, program coordination, and nonprofit/community development.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within Wind River Country.

Responsibilities

• Support administration of the Tourism Asset Development program, including documentation review and reimbursement tracking.
• Assist with administration and marketing of grant-funded events and programs, maintaining records and coordinating documentation.
• Assist with tourism research, data collection and reporting.
• Support destination stewardship and tourism development initiatives through research and project coordination.
• Assist with DMAP accreditation documentation and board/committee materials.
• Attend community meetings, events and partner gatherings as needed.
• Manage the WRVC visitor calendar and update Visitor Guide materials.
• Perform general administrative duties and occasional travel.
