Job summary

The Salvation Army in Emporia, KS seeks a part-time music program facilitator to work with children and adults, planning weekly lessons and leading performances. You will help participants grow musically, develop self-esteem, and reflect the Salvation Army mission in community activities.

Responsibilities include coordinating recitals, supporting summer camps, and collaborating with corps leadership. Part-time position 2.5 hours per week; driving and flexible scheduling may be required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in music preferred, or extensive experience teaching music.
• Experience: 2+ years' music experience with children or adults.

Responsibilities

• Lead music and arts programs within the corps; plan weekly music lessons and implement curriculum.
• Plan and attend recitals; prepare corps music programs for year-end concert.
• Encourage participants to develop musical skills and self-esteem through activities.
• Support community awareness through music performances and activities.
• Encourage summer camp participation and plan related activities.
• All other duties as assigned.
