Job summary

Baptist Health Louisville is seeking a full-time Retail Pharmacy Technician I to join the Community Pharmacy team. This role supports the pharmacist in filling prescriptions, updating patient information, and handling point-of-sale transactions with a patient-first approach.

Responsibilities include dispensing assistance, coordinating home delivery, and contributing to inventory control and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalence is required.
• Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
• If already registered, must have registration upon hire.
• Previous retail pharmacy work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist and staff in filling and dispensing community prescriptions.
• Perform computer order entry, update patient information, label prescriptions and complete POS transactions.
• Deliver medications to discharged patients per pharmacist requests.
• Assist with prescriber outreach for prescription refills under direct pharmacist supervision.
• Coordinate home delivery scheduling for prescriptions and manage inventory processes.
• Help maintain Pharmacy department cleanliness and order; prioritize workflow by patient impact.
• Escalate reported problems or patient complaints to the pharmacist or manager.
• Assist in training new staff and participate in meetings as assigned.
