Job summary

Charles River Community Health in Boston, MA is seeking a Pharmacist for a full-time, community-based role dedicated to underserved communities. You will dispense medications, ensure accurate service delivery, and collaborate with providers to deliver high-quality care.

The position requires a MA license, 1–3 years' retail experience, and flexible hours. Travel to Brighton or Waltham may be needed; Spanish language skills are a plus in patient interactions.

Qualifications

• College degree (Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral) in pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college required.
• Current, Valid, Unrestricted Pharmacist license in MA required.
• 1–3 years pharmacy or related experience, preferably in retail pharmacy services.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet organizational needs.
• Willingness to travel to CRCH sites in Brighton or Waltham as needed.
• Detail-oriented with exceptional people skills.
• Ability to communicate with patients in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all activities related to dispensing medications.
• Ensure accurate delivery of services to clients.
• Collaborate with administration, providers, and nursing staff to provide quality care.
• Ensure billing documents and inventory records are complete and accurate.
• Maintain compliance with all professional policies and procedures.
• Work with pharmacy staff to achieve clinical effectiveness.
• Adhere to State and Federal laws and regulations.
• Maintain control over distribution and documentation of controlled substances.
• Ensure 340B compliance when filling and checking medications.
• Record-keeping per State and Federal regulations and PBM contracts.
• Process and verify pharmacy claims; resolve third-party rejections.
• Monitor QA activities within the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Pharmacy.
