Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a community pathologist to join SLUCare Physician Group for two hospital campuses in central southern Illinois (Mt. Vernon and Centralia).

The role involves clinical and anatomical pathology coverage, collaboration with laboratory leadership, and close coordination with Saint Louis University pathology faculty and hospital administration. The position requires a Doctorate of Medicine, BC in AP/CP or APCP eligibility, and Illinois medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide Clinical and Anatomical Pathology coverage as needed.
• Collaborate with laboratory leadership and clinicians on two hospital campuses.
• Maintain medical records and adhere to professional bylaws.
• Coordinate with pathology faculty and administrative leadership at the affiliated university.
• Perform other duties as required.
