Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a Manager of Community Affairs to oversee outreach programs and strengthen relationships with communities along southern Westchester and beyond. You will coordinate health events, engage civic and faith leaders, and support youth initiatives while reporting to the Director of Community Affairs.

The role emphasizes partnership development, program planning, logistics, sponsorship tracking, and clear communication with internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five to ten years’ experience in community work, with at least three years in public health, health care, or health policy.
• Strong networking and communication skills; writing and analytic ability.
• Experience with event planning and project management.
• Proficiency in MS Office, social media, and internet research.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement community engagement programs using the Hospital’s resources and subject-matter experts.
• Guide program development using CHNA, Growth Plan, and other internal planning documents.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen relationships with community stakeholders and elected officials.
• Lead Community Advisory Board topics, agendas, and materials; coordinate logistics.
• Organize health events on-site, virtually, or in the community and maintain a monthly program calendar.
• Coordinate employee-led community benefit activities and volunteer opportunities.
• Prepare presentations, briefing materials, newsletters, promotional materials, and outcome reports.
