Job summary

Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee is seeking a full-time Coordinator to join the External Affairs Department in Nashville. The role focuses on engaging the community, increasing awareness, and generating support for the organization’s mission.

The Coordinator will plan and execute traditional and virtual food drives, peer-to-peer campaigns, and community events. This includes donor stewardship, data tracking, and coordinating with partner agencies and volunteers to maximize impact.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of related experience and/or training.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects, events and drives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate traditional food drive program including registration, materials, logistics, donor communication and post-drive follow-up.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies, organizations, media and staff to support large-scale drives.
  • Plan and support major drives (Nashville Predators Food Drive, Titans Food Drive, etc.).
  • Support drives with schools, corporate partners, faith groups, civic groups and individuals.
  • Maintain records of participating organizations, drive results and follow-up activities.
  • Prepare monthly food and fund drive reports and assist with analysis.
  • Represent Second Harvest at food and fund drive events.
  • Coordinate on-site volunteer support for major drives.
  • Coordinate Virtual Food Drive Program and peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns.
  • Provide timely support to fundraisers and teams to boost engagement and results.
