An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Community Outreach Program Worker to coordinate and deliver essential services to low-income residents. JCEO is a private, not-for-profit human service agency that serves the residents of Clinton and Franklin Counties in New York State. The Community Outreach Program Worker coordinates and delivers direct services including information, referrals and advocacy to low income residents and supports projects for community improvement.
Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: On-Site at our BlackBrook Outreach; 18 North Main Street, AuSable Forks, NY 12912
Hourly Rate of Pay: $18.50
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to develop productive relationships with people in need. Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal and intergroup relations. Ability to be resourceful, creative, tactful, and courteous. Ability to use initiative and good judgment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid Driver’s License. This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) medical certification within the first 30 days of hire. Re-certification will be required as specified by DOT guidelines.
