Job summary

The Boston Public Schools in Boston, MA, seeks a Community Field Coordinator to support school-wide outreach and partnerships. This temporary role covers for a paraprofessional on leave and focuses on developing collaborations with community agencies and families within Boston.

Reporting to the Principal, the CFC will implement programs, coordinate events, and help engage parents and guardians while promoting cultural inclusivity across the school community.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• 48 college credits or an Associate's Degree or passing ParaPro/WorkKeys.
• Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills.
• Experience building community partnerships and working with youth.
• Experience with community-based organizations serving migrants/immigrant families.
• Sensitivity to diverse cultures and special needs.
• Team player with collaborative abilities.
• US work authorization from start date.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and develop a marketing plan for the school newsletter and brochures.
• Establish formal/informal partnerships with community and corporate agencies.
• Initiate community outreach using cultural and linguistic strategies.
• Coordinate events and celebrations including culturally diverse activities.
• Develop strategies to ensure parent and family involvement.
• Assist in coordinating parent/community advocacy and support.
• Make phone contact with students' parents/guardians.
• Identify resources collaborators/speakers for dialogues and presentations.
• Initiate and develop corporate partnerships for resources.
