Job summary

The Coalition For The Homeless of Central Florida, Inc. seeks a Community Outreach for Families Program Manager to lead outreach efforts and guide families from homelessness toward permanent housing in the Tri-County area (Orange, Osceola, Seminole).

You will supervise outreach staff, manage budgets and reporting, coordinate services with housing programs and community partners, and ensure timely triage, enrollment and housing navigation for families in need.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a social services field; other degrees accepted with relevant experience.
• Five+ years of documented social service experience considered without a degree.
• Homelessness services, case management, PSH and rapid rehousing experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Bi-lingual candidates and veterans are encouraged to apply.

POSITION:

Community Outreach for Families Program Manager

REPORTS TO:

Director of Housing & Programs

STATUS:

Salary – Exempt – Full-Time

OVERVIEW:

Program Manager will supervise and work closely with the outreach team towards achieving the program goals of engaging, assessing, enrolling and navigating families experiencing homelessness from the streets to permanent housing with needed support in the Tri-County area of Orange, Osceola and Seminole. The Program Manager is an integral member of the Coalition Team and works collaboratively with providers, housing programs and representatives of other agencies in the community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee grant and program compliance.
• Provide coaching, hiring, disciplinary actions including employment termination in coordination with Human Resources and Director of Housing & Programs.
• Supervise, train, support, and evaluate outreach team staff to ensure program goals and performance expectations are met.
• Ensure all clients seeking services, via telephone, outreach initiatives and referrals complete triage process.
• Monitor outreach activities, client engagement, assessments, enrollments, and housing navigation efforts to ensure timely service delivery.
• Oversee the program budget and monthly expenses, ensuring alignment with funding requirements and organizational priorities.
• Ensure all required statistical and financial reports are accurate and submitted on time.
• Review program documentation, case activity, and records for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
• Ensure that appropriate permanent housing options for families are offered in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with providers, housing programs, and representatives of other agencies in the community.
• Respond to community requests for outreach interventions in tri-county areas of Orange, Seminole and Osceola.
• Coordinate outreach coverage, scheduling, and staff assignments to meet operational needs throughout the tri-county service area.
• Address barriers to housing placement and assist staff with complex client situations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Housing & Programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent number of college credits in a social services field. Degrees from other disciplines will be accepted given the candidate provides evidence of prior experience that would allow them to competently perform the primary duties listed below.
• Individuals that have been working in the field, but do not possess a degree will be considered if they have five or more years of documented social service experience.
• Homeless services, case management, permanent supportive housing and rapid rehousing experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties.
• Ability to pass a background screening in accordance with agency standards.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and competing demands.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with staff, clients, community partners, and leadership.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
